TomCruiseStrikesBack pt2

"Rofl perfect!"

date: September 13, 2005

Tom Cruise is well, a nut. Everybody knows that. And it was good to see that expressed in a flash movie. Yes, an ACTUAL flash movie. Not a ten-framed YAAFM flick.

I've always liked celebrity parady flashes, and this one was done pretty good. The animation confused me... the backrounds and graphics were great but the actual transition between the frames was poor.

It kind of reminded me of College University. Which is a good sign, considering its one of the few newgrounds series' to actually make it onto DVD and be successful. Just keep it up, and try and improve the animation a little. You could be great.

Stop Crying - Part 3

"It looked a lot better than it sounded"

date: September 13, 2005

It was an interesting style. The graphics were alright, but the voice acting lacked sincerity. It was alright, but it just seemed like another wannabe XIN flash.

Try to increase the frame rate a little, the transition between the scenes was a little chopepy. I couldn't decide whether or not the graphics were good, or poor.

I liked it, but i've seen a lot better. Keep on trying though, you could end up a very good artist here.

Duck - Prologue 1

"Poetic"

submission: Duck - Prologue 1
date: September 13, 2005

This flash was kind of surreal to watch. Strange, yet very captivating. It could've used a little bit more length, but I thought you did a relatively good job making it.

Despite the language barrier, it still felt as if this flash fit quite well with the music. I would've liked to see the duck get blown up by explosives, but I suppose this was a nice change.

Good work

Unknown rpg : LOCK

"Kind of geeky..."

submission: Unknown rpg : LOCK
date: September 13, 2005

Says the guy writing tons of reviews for newgrounds...

O_O

Anyways, the animation was alright. I mean, there have been hundreds of lock movies, but this one was pretty somewhat different than the others. It really captured the essence of online gaming, and it's pointlessness.

Good litte lock flash

a war to please the gods

"EXTREME"

date: September 13, 2005

Lol. It was a good thirty seconds long, but it was a good thirty seconds. The animation wasn't anything too stunning, but I loved the style. Violence is never hard to come by on newgrounds, and I enjoyed it in this movie.

Good work, just uh... make the next one a little longer, you know?

Author's Response:

Yeah i was thinking of spending more than one night on an animation, but i'm lazy.

thanks

Call To Arms Teaser

"Wow, well"

date: September 13, 2005

A short history lesson on newgrounds. Kind of cool.

The animation wasn't bad, and I really like the idea of an actual war flash. The sound was... well muffled at best. But your originality makes up for any of those flaws. I can't wait to see the rea deal, it should be a lot more interesting then most of the random killing I view here.

Author's Response:

Yes well I plan to do it very in depth, from their training in Auckland, NZ right through the entire war - England, Greece, Crete, North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Germany - so yes lots to learn and see I hope, and thanks for the the review :)

A beer too much

"...."

submission: A beer too much
date: September 13, 2005

Wow.

Well, I didn't see that coming. I started as a flash that I could suomewhat relate to. Everybodies had hangovers. It was progressing nicely into a simple short story and then it all just went to hell. Which is a good thing, in this case. My stomach threw up, my mind craved more.

The graphics were unique, I liked your style. You should've found a better song for the backround though.

Author's Response:

yeah, I had BIG trouble findnig a good soong.

enzymes

"I didn't like it"

submission: enzymes
date: September 13, 2005

The animation was poor, and well... the music sounded idiotic in the backround. The voice acting was just so damned irritating and well, it made me induce vomit.

Halfway through the sound become horribly timed, and the animation didn't match it at all.

It was just... garbage. I'm sure you got decent marks in your science class for creativity but... I didn't learn anything on this shitty field trip.

"Well its a little unfortunate..."

submission: blam plz
date: September 13, 2005

I mean... the idea of this flash was brilliant. And well, it could've been amazing. But the graphics were just.... bad. I think you've got some creative talent but you really need to work on your graphics and voice acting. I found both of them extremely blan.

Author's Response:

I thought the graphics were pretty good. I think what you mean is the frame rate was low, and it was (12fps). It's gonna be 20fps in the next one. Voice acting - noted.

Demolition Birdy

"Gahaha!"

submission: Demolition Birdy
date: September 13, 2005

This is another submission with a score it doesn't deserve. At first it seemed kind of lame, but it grew into a very... disturbing yet funny flash. The song somehow fit... even though it didn't really suit the idea of birds getting the shit kicked out of them thanks to gravity.

Good job, an unexpected success. I hope your score rises.
